Home / Applications
Deepro anchor systems are used in a variety of earth-retaining structures. On this page, you will find an overview of the applications with their specific requirements for anchors, service life and execution.
The Deepro strand anchor is one certified system, available in four performance classes (PL0, PL1, PL2 and PL3). The same basic system is deployed differently in a temporary cofferdam, a permanent quay wall or a retaining wall next to a road. The performance class, geometry and implementation method are determined by the type of construction and the specific project conditions.
The combination of high anchor load capacity, slim profile, multi-layer corrosion protection, and, uniquely in Europe, an ETA-certified electrically insulated PL3 anchor makes the system suitable for both short-term execution phases and permanent works with a lifespan of ≥ 100 years. Further down this page, you will find direct links to the specific pages, containing the requirements, applications, and points of attention per solution.
Deepro offers pre-stressing anchors and strand anchors for a wide range of applications in civil engineering, infrastructure, and geotechnical projects, always tailored to the specific requirements of the project and its environment.
Whether it's temporary cofferdams, permanent retaining walls, or complex anchorages in urban areas: our system offers a certified, manageable solution that meets the highest European standards for safety, durability, and execution quality.
Every situation is different. In a consultation, we will clearly outline your project and possibilities. You will immediately know where you stand.

Technical support in the design and development process for clients and engineering firms
Deepro supplies for coffer dams, quay walls, and other earth-retaining structures, including retaining walls, slopes, inclines, and embankment bodies. The system is the same; the chosen performance class and geometry are determined by the type of structure, the lifespan requirements, and specific project conditions.
The basic system is identical. What varies per application is the chosen performance class (PL0 to PL3), the geometry (length, angle of inclination, centre-to-centre distance) and the attention to specific conditions such as service life, environment or electrical insulation. Deepro supports the design process by helping to make the right choice.
For temporary phases, such as coffer dams during execution, a temporary anchor (PL0/PL1) with a lifespan of approximately two years is sufficient. For permanent structures, such as quay walls or retaining walls, anchors in PL2 or PL3 are used with a design lifespan of at least 100 years.
For combinations, for example a tub anchor that continues to function in the final situation, a permanent anchor is placed directly.
For any application where a metallic path via the anchor could cause corrosion or unwanted current leakage.
This applies, among other things, to quayside walls with cathodic protection on sheet piling, to structures in close proximity to cathodically protected pipelines and to applications along railways. Deepro is currently the only company in Europe that supplies this with ETA certification.
PL0 and PL1 are mainly used in temporary phases, such as excavation pits. PL2 is common for permanent works in normal environments. PL3 is used for permanent works in aggressive environments (salty, brackish) or where electrical insulation is required.
The final choice always arises from the combination of lifespan, environment, and project-specific requirements.
Yes. In practice, combinations are often encountered: a temporary cofferdam that transitions into a permanent quay wall, or an excavation where both a retaining wall and a sheet pile need to be anchored.
This system makes this combination possible without changing suppliers or the certification framework.
Deepro directly supports clients and engineering firms in the design and development process. For execution, the anchor is supplied to the drilling companies that carry out the installation.
