Q: Can I combine different performance classes within one project?

Yes, this occurs regularly. For example, with large infrastructure projects, PL0 anchors are used for temporary cofferdam anchoring, and PL2 or PL3 anchors for the permanent works. As all Deepro strand anchors are built on the same base system, execution, tooling and testing methodology remain consistent. This simplifies logistics and planning on the construction site.

Deepro anchor rods form the core of our anchoring system and are available in four performance classes, each tailored to a specific combination of service life, environmental conditions, and execution phase. Four performance classes, one certified system

The Deepro strand anchor is available in PL0, PL1, PL2 and PL3, based on a single, well-thought-out basic system. The performance class determines the degree of corrosion protection, lifespan, and suitability for specific environments, such as zones with cathodic protection or stray currents. The choice depends on the project type, the subsoil, and the design life requirements.

Temporary anchoring in excavation pits with the PL0, via semi-permanent work with the Level 1, for permanent applications with a lifespan of up to 100 years with the PL2, and as the only one in Europe an ETA-certified electrically insulated version, the PL3.
