For projects where removal is planned in advance, the PL0 anchor can be implemented with a removable version of the strands in the bond length.
Following relaxation, the strands can be pulled out via the anchor head. The grout body remains in the ground.
For temporary anchors, the ETA and the applicable standard (NEN-EN 1537 / EN 1997-1) prescribe an initial test, plus periodic checks depending on project duration and risk class.
In practice, monitor anchors are used in PL0 applications, which are read throughout the entire operational phase. We support you in setting up a suitable monitoring plan.
The design life of 2 years is based on the corrosion protection class PLL of the ETA certificate and is binding for the application. If the implementation period is likely to be extended, please contact our technical specialists in advance.
In many cases, it is wiser to opt for a PL1 or PL2 anchor during the design phase, so that you avoid the risk of redesign or replacement.
The required bore diameter depends on the number of strands, the soil structure, and the bonding length design. For most PL0 applications, drilling is carried out using flushing or with a temporary casing, depending on the soil conditions.
Our technical support provides a drilling proposal per project with a recommended diameter, so that the anchor and grout build-up connect correctly.
